Abstract

Over the past 10 years a rapid increase in number of women employees in tech firms has been seen in India however the salary inequalities remain the same. Women often bear the brunt of gender disparity in the workplace. Their pivotal role in the corporate sector is indispensable for the advancement and prosperity of nations worldwide. Despite numerous challenges, women globally persist in making remarkable strides. Globally the gender gap is close to 68.1% and the percentage of women employees in top 5 IT companies is not more than 40% of the total task force. India has improved his score and rank in the global gender gap index and scored 135^th rank out of 146 countries.
