The five types of abbreviations are abbreviations, acronyms, contractions, fragments, and letter symbols. The results show that the type of abbreviation with the highest frequency of use is abbreviation, with a percentage of 48%. Then, successively, followed by acronyms with a percentage of 33%, fragments with a percentage of 10%, letter symbols with a percentage of 7%, and contractions with a percentage of 2%. Thus, the highest and most dominant frequency of use on Twitter is abbreviations.
