This exploratory study delves into the effects of informational messaging interventions aimed at promoting healthy social media behavior among adolescents in Tamil Nadu, India. Adolescents today are avid users of social media platforms, and concerns have arisen about the potential negative impact on their well-being and development. To address this issue, informational messaging interventions have emerged as a potential strategy to guide adolescents toward responsible and balanced social media usage. This comparative analysis investigates the impact of various types of informational messaging interventions on adolescents' social media habits. The research draws from a diverse sample of adolescents from various socio-economic backgrounds, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative research methods to assess the effectiveness of these interventions. The study aims to answer critical questions, such as which types of informational messaging interventions are most effective in promoting healthy social media behavior among adolescents in Tamil Nadu. Additionally, it examines whether socio-demographic factors play a role in the effectiveness of these interventions.
