Code-switching, which refers to interchanging between several languages within a singular conversation, has been a subject of great interest among scholars in linguistics and sociolinguistics for a considerable period. This study thoroughly analyses code-switching as a coping strategy, specifically in contexts of shame among individuals proficient in many languages. This research investigates the underlying reasons, implications, and perspectives associated with this language occurrence by employing a combination of quantitative measures, such as surveys, and qualitative approaches, such as interviews. The study results indicate that many participants saw code-switching as a helpful and adaptive means of communication, enabling them to navigate various social environments effectively. In addition to its linguistic flexibility, code-switching is a significant factor in emotional control, facilitating social acceptance, and safeguarding cultural identity.
