The research deals with the emergence of the concept of semiotics as an entrance to design and its relationship to different design trends, in addition to the role of semiotics in design in general and architecture in particular, studying its importance in achieving communication between the recipient and the architectural text, and discussing the appropriateness and flexibility of the elements or tools of semiotic analysis in reading and analyzing the texts of the visual language of architecture.
