The Role of the Media in Reducing the Phenomenon of Colloquial Arabic (TV Shows as an Example)

Abstract

The Arabic language occupies a distinct ranking among the six official languages of the world in the United Nations because of its long history and direct impact on the ear of the recipients, because it contains strong and difficult letters such as (ق), (ح), (ض) , and others, in addition to enjoying rhythm and melody when formulating its sentences that are governed by expressive and verbal rules, and since it is a means of understanding between its speakers in the Arab world, so it is effective in unifying that understanding when delving into any dialogues and speeches that exceed Thus, any strangeness that may be issued in colloquial Arabic dialects, and in the era of globalization and advanced technological and cognitive progress, the crisis of preserving its identity from within its speakers has emerged first.

The real orientation to television programs as an effective means of establishing proper pronunciation and accuracy is one of the priorities of correcting the major distortions that occurred through the use of colloquial language before it fully fused with classical Arabic.
