Impact Of Clinical Legal Education On Employability In Pakistan: Stake Holder Perceptions

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to elucidate and evaluate how clinical legal education is perceived by the undergraduates, alumnis, employers and clinic supervisors. This paper highlights the importance of clinical legal education and its impact on employability within the context of its inclusion in the curriculum by the Higher Education. Higher Education providers always have been under pressure to provide[1] graduates with employability skills for a dynamic competitive graduate market. This qualitative paper finds the new insights on the function and power play of clinical legal education on employability in constructing graduate identity for their navigation from institution into workplace.

Earlier, no empirical research has been found on this novel emergent topic and this research study interrogates the literature around the employability narrative, mainly focusing on the role of clinical legal education on employability. The focus groups findings and their conclusions would be reported and analysed about the clinical legal education and its impact on employability.
