A new paradigm in workplace spirituality, spiritual leadership aims to create organisations that are learning-oriented and intrinsically driven. In addition to meeting basic requirements for spiritual well-being through a feeling of purpose and belonging, it includes a set of values, attitudes, and behaviours required to naturally inspire oneself and others. These factors have a big impact on company social responsibility, environmental initiatives, employee well-being, and even financial performance.

Essential traits like vision, love, and faith are the foundation of effective spiritual leadership because they direct leaders towards meaningful and caring interaction. Determining the exact advantages—or possible disadvantages—of integrating spirituality into leadership is still difficult, though. Even with its increasing popularity, there is still a dearth[1] of empirical and applied research examining the concrete effects of spiritual leadership.

From the viewpoint of the followers, incorporating spirituality into leadership may create a more compassionate work environment that strengthens a sense of belonging and purpose. From an organisational perspective, it might result in more employee dedication, more organisational support, and improved perceptions of trust—all of which can have a favourable impact on overall performance. In light of this, the current study examines the transformational approach to spiritual leadership, highlighting how it may improve leadership techniques in a business environment that is changing quickly.
