Analyzing The Role Of Social Networking In Quality Of Life And Happiness: A Qualitative Study In Lahore, Pakistan
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate happiness and quality of life (QOL) from a sociological perspective. The study was carried out in the Punjab province's most populated city, Lahore. This study was qualitative into its nature and qualitative research design was used to conduct the research. Personal interviews were conducted to collect the data. The respondents were chosen using[1] the purposive sample technique and came from a variety of backgrounds. Audio recordings of the interviews were made, and field notes were taken. Thematic analysis was used to extract themes from the verbatim transcriptions of the data. Following transcription, data was coded using both inductive and deductive coding techniques. Inductive codes were used to data gathered from files, while deductive codes were also allocated based on existing research on happiness and quality of life. Humans are social animals and rely on one another to accomplish life goals and events, social networks and the significance of social interactions in one's life are extremely important. Humans cannot survive in society alone. Social networking has a significant impact on happiness and a higher quality of life.
