Abstract

Due to rapid innovation and technological changes, the organizations are also transforming their workplace practices. Successful leaders are always believing on constant change and innovations. They are the biggest motivational source to transform the organizational performance by creating an innovative culture. The present paper serves the purpose by investigating the association among servant leadership & firm innovation with the [1]mediating variable of intrinsic motivation at IT (Information Technology) sector of Pakistan. Social Exchange Theory served the base paper to explain the connection between all variables. The sample size for the present study was 258 with simple random sampling technique. To collect the data, all the respondents were selected from various IT organizations of Pakistan. After analyzing the collected data through Structured Equation Modeling (AMOS), the results of this paper discovered that servant leadership does have strong association with firm innovation. Similarly, intrinsic motivation tested as mediating variable also revealed a significant association between servant leadership and firm innovation. This study has increased the body of knowledge by apply social exchange theory as a base theory on firm innovation at IT sector of Pakistan.
