Relationship Between Institutional Effectiveness And Achievement Motivation Among University Academic Leaders
Abstract
The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between institutional effectiveness and achievement motivation among university academic leaders. This relationship was determined in terms of teaching and learning, professional leadership, staff and student’s involvement and high intellectual expectations.[1] A total of 230 respondents from Lahore College for Women University and University of the Punjab, Lahore participated in the study. Population of the study comprised of all faculty of teaching departments under the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences. Purposive sampling technique was used for the study. Questionnaire on Achievement Motivation among University Managers and Institutional Effectiveness (AMUMIE) was adapted for data collection. Findings revealed significant relationship between Institutional Effectiveness and Achievement Motivation of university academic leaders. Based on these findings and conclusion it was revealed that achievement motivation of academic leaders tends to be an eminent feature in effectiveness of an institution.
