Abstract

In the contemporary era, atheism has witnessed a significant rise globally, influenced by rapid scientific advancements, globalization, and the pervasive presence of social media. This trend poses unique intellectual and spiritual challenges to the Muslim Ummah, especially among the youth. This study explores the multifaceted factors contributing to the growth of atheistic thought in the modern world, including secular education, technological progress, and cultural shifts. It critically examines the Islamic perspective on atheism by drawing from the Qur’an, Hadith, and classical as well as contemporary Islamic scholarship.
