Abstract

Shah Shamas Sabzwari is one of the most significant, misunderstood and ignored figure in Multan history. There are many names that are associated with Shah Shamas, like Shah Shamas Sabzwari, Shah Shamas Multani, Shah Shamas[1] Tabrizi, Shah Shamas Maghribi, Shah Shamas Prinda, Shah Qasim Anwar, Shah Shamas Iraqi etc. these contradictions are resolved in this article. Historical analysis, linage criticism, regional and Subaltern historical approach are used to check and analyze the data to reach at certain conclusion, were used. This paper throws light on Religious and historical values of Shah Shamas Sabzwari of Multan without involving mythical miracles of saint and only historical approach is used to discuss life of saint who lived in Slave dynasty and was buried in Multan in 675AH.
