Rebuilding India In The Post-Pandemic Era: An Analytical Review Of The Atmanirbhar Bharat Initiative
Abstract
Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan (Self-Reliant India Mission) is an initiative launched by the Government of India aimed at revitalizing the economy and promoting self-sufficiency in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign included a comprehensive economic stimulus package of ₹20 lakh crore, along with a series of structural reform proposals across various sectors. The present study seeks to analyze the role of the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative in rebuilding the nation during the post-pandemic era. A meta-analysis methodology was employed to synthesize findings from existing literature and policy documents. As a multi-scheme and multi-sectoral program, Atmanirbhar Bharat significantly contributed to national recovery efforts by fostering local production, supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and promoting self-reliance across critical areas of the economy.
