Identification Of Madarassa Teachers’ Needs Regarding Information And Communication Technologies (Icts) About Educational Assessment For Madarassa Teachers

Abstract

The study entitled, “Identification of Madarassa Teachers’ Needs regarding Information and Communication Technologies’ (ICTs) about Educational Assessment for Madarassa Teachers”. The study was survey and descriptive in nature. The quantitative as well as qualitative (QUAN-qual.) method was implemented. The stratified sampling technique was adopted. According to stratified sampling, two (02) Deoband Madarassas were chosen equally from each division of Punjab. The sample of study comprised of thirty (30) Islamic scholars, three (03) Madarassa instructors and one (01) Mohtemim from each Madarassa. The questionnaire based on 5-Point Likert scale, the interview protocol based on open ended questions and few sessions of formal and informal group discussions. The validity of the study was ensured through distribution of research tools among senior Islamic instructors and reliability was checked through SPSS-24 using Cronbach Alpha. The researcher personally visited the selected Madarssas and collected the desired data from the respondents. The collected data was fed into data sheet and analyzed. The study concluded that majority of Islamic scholars were agreed that integrated assessment helps students to produce results in short time. The study recommended that Computer-integrated assessment along with ICTs may be adopted to assess the student’s performance in short time.
