Analysis Of Determinants Of Regional Food Insecurity In Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia
Abstract
This research aims to analyze the determinants of food insecurity in Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The data used is secondary data in the form of data relating to research variables accessed from the Central Statistics Agency and the Food Security Agency of Central Sulawesi. The analytical method used is panel data regression an1alysis and cross section of the 2017-2021 time series with the Common Effect Model, Fixed Effect Model and Random Effect Model approaches. Based on testing the best model specifications, the Fixed Effect Model is used. Research findings show that the normative per capita consumption variable is the net availability of food products (X1), population living below the poverty line (X2), households without access to electricity (X3), life expectancy at birth (X4), stunting (X5), women aged 15 years and over who are literate (X6), huseholds without access to clean water (X7) together have a significant effect on the food insecurity variable (Y). Partial analysis found that the normative per capita consumption variable for net availability of food products (X1), life expectancy at birth (X4), and stunting (X5) had a significant effect on food insecurity. Meanwhile, residents living below the poverty line (X2), households without access to electricity (X3), women aged 15 years and over who are illiterate (X6), and households without access to clean water (X7) the effect is not significant on food insecurity.
