Evaluation Of Residual And Wastewater Management In Sugarcane Industries Of Haryana: Problems And Solution
Abstract
Sugarcane, the world's most important crop in tropical and subtropical regions, is the earliest crop ever discovered by humans. Sugar cane is a tall, climbing perennial monocotyledonous grass that stores sugar as a glycophyte. In terms of sugarcane productio[1]n, India ranks second globally. One of the main sources of raw materials for the sugar and related byproduct sectors is sugarcane. The large-scale manufacturing of sugarcane-based ethanol through molasses as well as directly from cellulose has recently increased awareness of sugarcane as an essential energy crop. Moreover, being the biggest single user of water, this industry holds a special place in the industrial sector due to the use water for different purposes and the polluted water that results. The sugar industry in Haryana served as the area of investigation of the current study. The current study's specific goal is to demonstrate the problems and solutions associated with the sugar sector in Haryana.
